Keeping up momentum and consistency is a crucial factor that allows managing those all-important loyal consumer relationships. Our role was to develop a fun, exciting and engaging summer campaign to maintain and enhance consumer connect with loyal WU customers and increase revenue.
We created a personal touch experience across key Indian DMA’s with an over arching theme of WU bringing you closer to your loved ones with focus on family fun and creating memories.
Consumer Engagement – Creating family memories
- A unique photo twist with a unique self contained ready to roll shenanigan station – an airstream caravan kitted out with branded mod photo booth with a retro feel creating a focal point at the events for families to step in and create ‘mela memories’
- Sponsorship of the top Indian community events across UK
- Travelling to London Mela, Leicester Mela and Birmingham Mela with a combined approx reach of 265,000
- Complete with a printed picture in branded frame for keepsake and a live sharing element to allow audiences to share their pictures instantly on their social networks
- Creation of a fun, family friendly WU stand with Henna area for ladies and children to add a touch of Indian culture to their hands and yellow WU balloons to brighten up the mela sky’s
- Win a tablet to easily connect to the WU App and send money to loved ones in India
- Each person was automatically added to the prize draw once they completed a short questionnaire

- To keep WU brand alive in the minds of audiences and for message consistency we implemented a 4 week radio campaign on key stations with high community reach in London, Birmingham and Leicester
- Bilingual Brand Ambassadors
- English, Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi speaking Brand Awareness
- Also Urdu, Bengali and Lithuanian were apart of our cultural mix
- Radio Commercial Production with translations into Hindi and Punjabi
With great success results, audiences very well received the campaign with over 2000 entries into the promotion providing valuable data for future relationship management.
Airstream Photo booth was a super hit with all families positioned near the mela entrances it created highlight and brand recall.
